BMYC Yacht Racing Organisers

The Rear Commodore Racing with the Race Committee are responsible for ensuring the maintenance of good quality and interesting yacht racing at BMYC. They regulate and organise the Club�s Regattas, racing performance, starting procedure, recording results, training and improvement of the yacht racing members in their knowledge and enjoyment of yacht racing.

They choose series officers and race officers and maintain the equipment. They compile and monitor sailing instructions and safety rules. They are responsible for supervising racing handicaps and conduct of protests.

Yacht racing is also ably assisted by a Committee Boat Driver.

The members of the Race Committee include the following:

Rob Mclean	Chair and Rear Commodore Racing
Matthew Holmes	Monitoring all aspects of setting and adjudication the club PY club handicap .
Neil Angel
Geoff Bryant	Responsible for maintaining, and updating BMYC Website. Representative and chair of the Sussex Combined Clubs Handicap Committee
Colin Scarff	Qualified race officer, advisor in race procedure, quality control, yacht safety inspection, emergency radio discipline and procedure. Member of Sussex Combined Clubs Committee for the Sussex Regatta
Lynne East	Responsible for BMYC Club Class.
