BMYC Yacht Racing Organisers

The Rear Commodore Racing with the Race Groups are responsible for ensuring the maintenance of good quality and interesting yacht racing at BMYC. They regulate and organise the Club�s Regattas, racing performance, starting procedure, recording results, training and improvement of the yacht racing members in their knowledge and enjoyment of yacht racing.

They choose series officers and race officers and maintain the equipment. They compile and monitor sailing instructions and safety rules. They are responsible for supervising racing handicaps and conduct of protests.

There are two separate Race Groups with different areas of responsibility. Yacht racing is also ably assisted by a Bosun and Committee Boat Driver.

Rear Commodore Racing - Peter Dilloway-Thompson

Race Group 1

Mark Jephcott Matthew Holmes Neil Angel Rob Mclean	Group members responsible for discipline, rules, notice of race, safety and general racing procedure.
Geoff Bryant	Group member responsible for maintaining, and updating BMYC Website. Monitoring all aspects of setting and adjudication the PY club and open handicaps in conjunction with two other members selected from race group 1.
Race Group 2
Dean Wetton	Group member and Chair of Sussex Combined Clubs Committee for the 2010 Sussex Regatta
Charlie Wise	Group member responsible for co-ordination with Jon Rolfe and Nick Cornford in maintaining Priscilla and race buoys.
Colin Scarff	Group member and qualified race officer, advisor in race procedure, quality control, yacht safety inspection, emergency radio discipline and procedure.
Lynne East	Responsible for BMYC Club Class.
