Welcome to the club's racing section! If it's great sail racing action you want, this is the club for you. Our race calendar wraps around the whole year and guarantees you exciting sailing in a wide variety of conditions. Every Sunday at 9am the club starts filling up, captains signing on, crews passing round steamy cups of tea before heading out to sea ready for the first start at 10am. A couple of hours of racing around the club's own buoys, often a glorious site in the company of 15 or more yachts.

By 1pm most boats are heading back in ready to regroup in the bar and discuss "tactics" over a few pints of excellent ale.

During the summer, we also race on Wednesday evenings and some Saturday afternoons. We also run a series of offshore races.

New crew members are always welcome. If you want to race and do not know anyone to contact, turn up to the Yacht Club at about 8:45 on Sunday morning, talk to the Race Officer of the day and ask them to try to link you with a boat.
